Wow, is it April already? April is an exciting month here at Did You Bring the Hummus. Ever since I was a kid I have loved Earth Day so I find it very exciting that I get to spend the month writing about ways to help protect our planet. So, expect a lot of talk about that, connecting energetically to nature, blogs about podcast episodes, veganism, baseball, food, and whatever else comes up. Should be a fun month!
AsI mentioned, April is Earth month, so get prepared to be inspired to tread a bit more gently on our beautiful Mother Earth. Make sure to check out my Earth Week Series from last year too!
April is also one of the 4 months of the year that the Ultimate Blog Challenge comes around. The Ultimate Blog Challenge is an incredible (and FREE!) way to drive traffic to your website, engage with other bloggers, build your content, and get inspired. The challenge is to write 30 blogs in 30 days but you can certainly make it work for you. Last April I did write every day, but this past January I was so busy working on the podcast that I committed to writing a blog per week, highlighting the podcast episode for that week. I still met my goal, added content, and engaged with other bloggers. There's still time to sign up, I hope you'll join me!
If you're interested in creating content, make sure you check out my latest podcast with The Content Doctor herself, Sandra Nomoto. We discuss Sandra's vegan journey, how intuition and spirituality are a key piece of her work, and marketing tips for vegan businesses. The UBC gets a mention in this episode when Sandra talks about the importance of having a blog on your website, I promise to link to the blog challenge that has helped me get more than 90 blogs on my site, 95 blogs in fact! 95!! From someone who never expected to write a single blog post, let alone 95!
What have you been up to since we last connected on the blog? Let me know below. To my fellow UBCers, glad to see you here, be sure to say hello in the comments!
I loved reading your blog post about your plans for April! It sounds like you have a lot of exciting things in store, and I'm especially looking forward to reading your Earth Day series.
I also wanted to say thank you for mentioning the Ultimate Blog Challenge. This is the third time I'm participating, and I'm always looking for ways to improve my skills and connect with other bloggers. The Ultimate Blog Challenge is a great opportunity.
Thanks again for sharing your blog with us! I'm always happy to read your posts, and I look forward to following your journey in the coming months.
Great post, KW! I love how excited you are for Earth Day and your commitment to sharing ways to protect our planet. Your Earth Week Series from last year sounds interesting, and I'll definitely check it out. The Ultimate Blog Challenge is a fantastic opportunity to connect with other bloggers. I'm also interested in checking out your podcast with Sandra Nomoto and learning more about her vegan journey and marketing tips. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm for this month and I'm looking forward to reading more of your content!
Great to see you back, Kimberly! Whoa, you've been busy! My teenage son is in the process of cutting back on animal products, so I may get inspired by some of your suggestions? https://thethreegerbers.blogspot.com/2023/04/airport.html
Welcome to the Challenge - bet you'll make me hungry :)
Glad to see you back I'm going to try to do it everyday...with so much going on it will be a challenge but my fellow vegan...it is canine fitness month, and something outraged me this past week as to keeping millions of people motivated that I started with that- are millions of subscribers being made fools out of or what? No- we're not fools we just need more info to continue on without too much stress from the transitions!
